From April 21 to 25, 2026, the 14th China CNC Machine Tool Exhibition (CCMT2026) grandly opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. As a newcomer to the sales team, stepping into this vast exhibition space of 202,000 square meters for the first time--spanning 17 indoor halls and one temporary hall--I kept asking myself a question: what kind of industrial code is hidden in this global event, which gathers more than 2,000 companies from 27 countries and regions? And how could I transform from a casual visitor into someone who truly understands the technology and can connect it with real business needs?

The first answer came from the "hard power" of the exhibition. From metal cutting machines to industrial robots, CNC systems to precision measuring instruments, the entire industrial chain was displayed in a highly organized and professional way. Among them, the gear hobbing machine sector particularly caught my attention. High end gear hobbing machine models on display showed how precision gear manufacturing is evolving toward higher efficiency and tighter tolerances. It made me realize that modern gear hobbing machine technology is no longer just about cutting gears, but about intelligent, high speed, and highly stable production.
The gear hobbing machine exhibits also reflected how deeply China’s machine tool industry has advanced. Whether integrated into automated production lines or combined with digital control systems, each gear hobbing machine on display demonstrated stronger rigidity, smarter control, and better adaptability to complex gear profiles.

Large state-owned equipment groups such as General Technology Group showcased 17 debut machines, including large-scale machining centers and multi-axis systems. These heavy-duty machines, together with advanced gear hobbing machine solutions in adjacent booths, highlighted China's transition from"scale expansion" to "high-end breakthroughs." Shanghai Machine Tool Works and WZ Group also presented their heavy-duty precision equipment, proving decades of accumulated expertise in high-load and high-precision machining. Even here, gear hobbing machine technology remained a key part of the precision transmission ecosystem.
However, the exhibition was not only about hardware displays. Nearly every booth included interactive experiences--custom tool kits, intelligent equipment trial coupons, and even humanoid robots shaking hands with visitors or service robots making coffee on site. At one booth, I noticed that components used in humanoid robots were actually produced by a high end machining center, which itself shared technological similarities with a modern gear hobbing machine in terms of precision control and manufacturing logic. This "equipment-to-application" closed loop made me realize how industrial technology is becoming deeply integrated into real-life scenarios.

As a business representative, my own reception experience gave me a more concrete understanding of what it means to "read the exhibition." Clients from Vietnam, Russia, Colombia, and India arrived with highly technical questions. Many of them focused on gear hobbing machine capabilities--asking about machining module range, maximum and minimum workpiece diameter, and height adaptability. Some compared the efficiency differences between vertical and horizontal gear hobbing machine configurations. Others asked for specific gear hobbing machine solutions compatible with Siemens or FANUC control systems. A few even brought chain wheel drawings on site, requesting feasibility analysis for gear hobbing machine processing.
In total, discussions around gear hobbing machine applications became the core topic of most technical conversations. I found myself repeatedly explaining gear hobbing machine parameters, process advantages, and customization options. Through these exchanges, I gradually understood that the essence of business is translating "technical language" into "customer needs," and exhibitions like CCMT are exactly where gear hobbing machine technology meets real-world demand.

During the exhibition, supporting forums provided an even broader perspective. At the 2026 Machine Tool Industry CEO Forum, industry leaders discussed the integration of artificial intelligence with machine tools. In parallel, the NC-Link ecosystem forum showcased the latest achievements in domestic CNC systems, pushing forward intelligent manufacturing capabilities that directly influence the development of advanced gear hobbing machine systems. Another session on low-altitude economy and machine tool synergy explored new demands from eVTOL aircraft manufacturing, where high-precision gear components--often produced by gear hobbing machine processes--play a critical role.
From exhibits to trends, from interaction to communication, CCMT2026 helped me gradually decode the essence of this industrial feast. It is not only a showcase of global machine tool technology, but also a battlefield of industrial ecosystems. It is where traditional manufacturing strength meets emerging innovation, and where technologies like the gear hobbing machine continue to evolve toward higher precision, intelligence, and integration.
As a newcomer to the industry, I have seen China's manufacturing transformation from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing." More importantly, I have realized the responsibility and challenge behind my role. Starting from this exhibition, I will continue to deepen my understanding of products such as the gear hobbing machine, turning curiosity into expertise, and growing alongside China's machine tool industry toward a more advanced, intelligent, and green future.
